WiFi Connection

The university wireless network is available with the below information:

  • Network name: Cornet-EAP
  • Security type: WPA2 / WPA
  • Encryption type: AES / TKIP
  • EAP-type: PEAP
  • Authentication mode: MSCHAPv2
  • IP Address: Automatic (DHCP)

For detailed description, see the Cornet-EAP documentations below!

Please note that due to security risks users should not carry their most sensitive data through WLAN networks. Also, the network may be suspended temporarily during some events held in one of the buildings.

On campus, it is not allowed to create your own WLAN network as it interferes with the frequencies used by the university network, regardless if it operates in ad hoc mode (e.g. connecting two computers) or uses access point solutions.

How to connect the WiFi network

Here you can find all of the information to connect your devices to the Wifi network at the university.

VPN Connection

The VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to connect the university IT network from a home or from a remote computer, and access the resources available online (such as e-journals, databases) which could only be reached from the Library or from the university by default. Only university professors, students and staff are entitled to use the service.

The VPN network must be activated by the IT Helpdesk located in the Salthouse, Room 15, and then you can set it up on your device.
